A New Year, A New Beginning

New Years Eve is around the corner and we thought of coordinating three outfits with our DIY dress  for three different occasions with one of our dear friends and a stylist Stephanie from Divenire :) We enjoy every bit of her posts these days and you guys definitely have to check her out asap! We kept the first outfit causal for going out with friends to grab for a dinner or a last minute shopping for New Years. A long oversized turtleneck sweater and thigh-high boots will keep you warm for the day without having to wear any other extra outerwear.
Bow-Tie Lace Blouse- Q2HAN / De Manta Clutch- Q2HAN / Valentino Rockstud Clutch- Q2HAN
For the second outfit, we paired our dress with the bow-tie lace blouse and Alexander McQueen inspired De Manta Clutch that we designed. This outfit would be more appropriate for formal dinner parties or a date night with your loved ones. And yes; somehow this outfit happen to be head-to-toe Q2HAN! For the last outfit, we kept it relaxed and easy going for a family gathering. A touch of pearl necklace definitely gave a bit of polished look to the overall outfit.

Red Dress In Christmas

DIY Red Christmas Dress YouTube Tutorial
Can you believe Christmas is almost around the corner? Whoa, time flies! Christmas means parties and we couldn't miss designing a dress for you guys. So here it is! We decided to design this red dress with slight cutouts on the sides for an indoor Christmas party. We are also planning to sell this dress in first-come first-served basis, so if you have in mind, please shoot us an e-mail at q2hans@gmail.com! In terms of my outfit, I'm wearing this thigh high boots from DressLink, and it definitely did its job in keeping myself warm during the entire shooting.
Coat- DressLink / Dress- Q2HAN / Boots- DressLink / Jewelries- ShopLately
I'm also wearing this warm cozy coat from DressLink, and love the way how it has different texture to it. While the bodice is furry and cozy with this wooly material, the sleeves are made out of pleather, and hints of chicness is added with silver colored embellishments. Also, if you happen to make this dress, take advantage of the skater skirt portion of the dress by tossing a thick cute sweater on top. No one will notice that you are actually wearing a dress, and it's a great way to utilize the dress for not only special occasions but for everyday!

Plaid At The Underground

DIY Plaid Trouser YouTube Tutorial
As many of you might've already noticed, plaids are everywhere this season. It's a versatile and fun piece to layer up, especially during winter. So we just had to design this trouser that was inspired by  one of the similar pants that we've been eyeballing for quite a while from Zara. This typical design is a high-wasted pant that slightly tapers as it hits right at the ankle. Material wise, you'll need 1 1/2 yard of plaid fabric and an invisible zipper.
Outerwear- Sheinside / Plaid Trouser- Q2HAN / Jewelries- Shoplately
I'm wearing this structural camel colored long coat from Sheinside. The material is quite thick and heavy, and very soft to the skin at the same time. There are so many intricate details going on in this jacket, and we especially love the double-layered oversized lapels and the contrasting faux leather sleeves, which really give uniqueness to the overall outfit. Hints of gold colors are added through accessories from our all time favorite ShopLately, and the outfit is finished off with black beanie from H&M and boots from Nine-West.

Crop It Right Now

DIY Turtle Neck Crop Top YouTube Tutorial
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are ready for another DIYs! Since so many of you requested for a crop-top, we decided to create one that is suitable for winter season. It has tall turtle-neck with long sleeves, and we gave a little twist by adding a hint of cut-out at the front hem. Material wise, we used a medium weight fabric that is moderately thick enough to combat chilly winds, almost similar to the thickness of brocade fabric.
Pleated Mini Skirt- Banggood / Turtle Neck Crop Top- Q2HAN / Boots- Gap
I'm wearing this beautiful black metallic skirt from Banggood, and I love the fact that it is long enough for me to pull it all the way up to my highest waist. We're both not very keen on showing skin, so the fact that we can cover my midriff with the skirt is a plus. To give a little color to this monochrome outfit, we finished off with this oxblood wide-brimmed fedora from Forever 21.

Bow Tie At Sunset

DIY Bow Tie Lace Blouse YouTube Tutorial
It's been drizzling frequently here in SoCal, and the temperature has finally dropped to the point that we definitely needed to pick out our good old comfy winter PJs. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are coming up, we thought of creating a blouse that is appropriate for family gatherings. To sweeten up the overall look, we added a bow tie collar details with bishop sleeves.
Pleater Mini Skirt- Choies / Blouse- Q2HAN / Rings- ShopLately
In this outfit, I'm wearing a pleather mini skirt that has this very intricate metal zipper details. We personally love designs that have metal zipper details. There's something about it that gives extra chic and polished look to the overall outfit. In this particular look, we enjoyed the way how the hard core pleather skirt and the feminine laced blouse were complimenting each other.

Meet Me At Dawn

LA's weather has been fluctuating frequently theses days to the point that we can no longer predict what to wear for the next day. Some days are hot, some days are cool, and some days are freezing cold. Now, it's been gloomy with a little drizzle of rain for the past couple of days, which totally reminds us of Vancouver. Anyways, we thought of pairing this gorgeous emerald colored faux fur vest from Sheinside and black top from Persunmall with black leather pants from BeBe to match up the gloomy mood in LA. Not to mention, I tossed this faux fur on top incase I freeze myself off!
Top- Persunmall / Pants- BeBe / Faux Fur- Sheinside / Jewelries- ShopLately
We both are very picky about it when it comes to selecting cardigans or any faux fur outerwear due to our immensely sensitive skin. But surprisingly, our skin seem to tolerate this cardigan very well. We especially love the fact that the faux fur comes with the cardigan instead of heavy coat. It's much versatile and easy to pair up with other outfits. Score!

That Time Of The Year

DIY Thanksgiving Backless Dress YouTube Tutorial
We are aware of the fact that Thanksgiving is a huge tradition in Western society. But for us, it wasn't such a big event where families have to gather around, have big portion of dinner, and share what they felt most thankful about during the year at the end of the day. On top of that, our entire family resides in Korea; therefore, the only family we've got here in SoCal is each other. Then we came to realize how thankful and blessed we were to have each other. As you guys have already noticed, we are extremely close (and I mean extreme guys). We know what is going on in each of our lives: the good and the bad times, the dirty little secrets, the insecurities… you name it! And again we are extremely grateful to have each other this year, striving towards the same goals that we've made five years ago.
Jewelries- Gemorie / Dress- Q2HAN / Heels- Topshop
We again had the privilege to collaborate with Gemorie for the second series of video. For this tutorial we used heavy weighted polyester-cotton blend fabric that has no stretch. We personally prefer working with non-stretch fabric, but you are more than welcome to use ones with stretchiness as long as the fabric has certain degree of stiffness to hold the shape of the dress. Hope you ladies and gents have a wonderful and memorial be time with your loved ones next week! xx

Fall In Angeles

DIY Number (Varsity) Jersey Top
Fall has finally arrived here in SoCal, which means it's time to get those fluffy cardigans out from the closet. We have been wearing these two cardigans (refer to the video) that we received from Qlynna nonstop for the past couple of weeks. And we must say, they are some of the softest and coziest cardigans that we own. Qlynna is a lifestyle fashion and accessories brand that was established quite recently in 2012. Compared to the amazing quality they offer, we were quite amazed by how affordable the prices were. It's truly a brand built under the quality and love how all their pieces are simple yet unique. (15% discount code- Q2HAN)
Cardigan- Qlynna / Varsity Top- Q2HAN / Boots- Aldo
This particular one is my favorite and they call it the eyelash cardigan, probably because the fluffy texture resembles eyelashes. We love the way how it is color blocked with our two most favorite colors: black and gray along with the large pouches on both sides. We paired it with our DIY varsity jersey top and a pleather skirt with long-boots from Aldo. By the way, we don't know about you, but one of our favorite ways to wear cardigans is tying them around the waist, just like I did!

Black Among Roses

DIY Black Crisscross Dress YouTube Tutorial
Many of you asked for the tutorial of the black dress that Qjin wore for our Halloween video. So here it is! We were fortunate enough to collaborate with Shoplately for their "Blogger Week" sales event where we get to showcase some of their gorgeous jewelry pieces. Shoplately specializes in beautiful everyday accessories and recently they began offering appareals and shoes as well. We've been working with Shoplately for a while, and we promise that you'll never be disappointed with their quality of their merchandises and efficiency in terms of shipping.
Ear Cuff- Shoplately / Dress- Q2HAN
This was actually our first time ever wearing an ear cuff and surprisingly it was quite comfortable than we've imagined. The first one that I'm wearing on the video is our most favorite piece. We fell in love with the overall design that almost reminds us of a feather. It instantly glam up the entire outfit and is a great statement piece for parties or prom night. For the designing and making of the dress, you will need light chiffon for the skirt and any type of non-stretchy heavy-wegithed fabric for the bodice portion of the dress. For the lining, you may use a light polyester or even a light-wegithed jersey fabric will be feasible.

Wedding Season

DIY Valentino Rockstud Clutch YouTube Tutorial
Many of our friends are attending wedding as a guest lately, so we thought of several ways to dress as a wedding guests. And of course, a nice looking clutch bag is a must have to carry your belongings. The clutch bag is inspired by Valentin's Rockstud clutch. The genuine ones are actually smaller in sizes, but since we prefer larger ones, we decided to make it as an over sized. You can definitely make it into a smaller size to achieve a wrist clutch or use the same technique to create other carriers such as sunglasses and pencil cases or even a cosmetic pouches. The possibility is endless.
Dress- Oarry / Clutch- Q2HAN / Heels- Topshop
The dress that I'm wearing is from Oarry and we both are madly in love with these delicate embroideries on top of organza. Because of the stiffness of the material, it creates a hint of structure to the overall outfit as well as a volume, especially around the skirt. The combination of delicate embroidery and the structural silhouette are what makes this dress so appealing. The dress can be worn for a wedding as a guest, at homecoming, or even at a garden and tea parties. Oarry was kind enough to provide 15% discount code to our subscribers, so make sure to check out the description box of our YouTube tutorial video!
